Hi, I’m Kat! IT’S NICE TO MEET YOU!

Ekaterina Popova is a professional artist and educator with a passion for landscape painting and helping others discover the joy of creative expression. She is renowned for her interior paintings but has been painting and exhibiting landscapes since 2011. Her unique approach combines technical skills with emotional storytelling, making her classes both inspiring and accessible.

Ekaterina has painted plein air and studio landscapes inspired by her Russian upbringing, local nature, and international residencies in Greece, Iceland, and France. Her contemporary oil paintings explore themes of home, belonging, and identity. Inspired by post-impressionism, fauvism, and magical realism, her work evokes mood and emotion through richly textured interiors and landscapes.

Her paintings have been exhibited in galleries such as Cohle Gallery in Paris and Menorca, The Painting Center in New York, James Oliver Gallery, Paradigm Gallery, and more. Publications like Colossal, Flow Magazine, Beautiful Bizarre, American Art Collector, The Jealous Curator, and The Philadelphia Inquirer have featured her work.
